NASGP nominated for two awards to be decided by public vote

The NASGP has been nominated not once but twice for this year’s General Practice Awards 2025 by Cogora, the publishers behind the leading GP news titles, Pulse.

The organisation has been nominated for Digital Solutions Provider of the Year and Recruitment or Staffing Provider of the Year for its work with SNEE Training Hub and Gloucestershire Primary Care Training Hub.

Awards rely on the results of a public vote which closes on 1 October.

Vote for NASGP by 1 October.

Over the last five years, the NASGP’s digital decentralised workplace solution for members, LocumDeck, has emerged as a transformative platform in primary and out of hours services.

Working in strategic partnership with Suffolk and North East Essex (SNEE) and Gloucestershire ICBs’ GP Training Hubs, the NASGP has worked in flexible workforce planning and local services by providing a solution for practices to book sessional support.

Since 2023, its collaborative partnership with the ICBs has continued to reduce agency costs year on year.

Dr Richard Fieldhouse, NASGP chair, said: “We are absolutely delighted and incredibly proud to be nominated for two GPAwards 2025 – Digital Solutions Provider of the Year and Recruitment and Staffing Provider of the Year. These nominations are a fantastic testament to the tireless efforts of our team, our valued members, and especially our strategic partners at Suffolk and North East Essex, and Gloucestershire ICBs’ GP Training Hubs.

“Our work, particularly with LocumDeck, demonstrates how GP and practice-led flexible workforce solutions can truly transform primary care, improving booking efficiency and eliminating agency costs.

“This recognition highlights the vital importance of empowering GPs and giving practices the support they need.

“We urge everyone to cast their vote for NASGP by 1 October to champion solutions that serve UK general practice and its patients.”

"As a newly-qualified CCT and a GP moving to a new region post-CCT, I found LocumDeck and the NASGP to be very helpful. LocumDeck has been useful: Ali Lewis helped me to set myself up, get in touch with practices and book sessions, and also helped me chase payments. The NASGP itself, providing peer support and advice, has also been very good. I would certainly encourage my colleagues to join."
