NASGP makes a 2025 Christmas donation to Doctors of the World

NASGP has made its 2025 Christmas donation to Doctors of the World.

Doctors of the World UK is the UK chapter of the global Médecins du Monde network, an international human rights organisation made up of 17 chapters around the world working on both domestic and international health projects.

Dr Katherine Taylor and Dr Lisa Harrod-Rothwell, both GPs, work or volunteer for DOTW.

The association also chose the charity for its 2024 donation.

NASGP’s decision reflects the association’s aims to showcase the flexibility and versatility of UK GPs.

NASGP chair, Dr Richard Fieldhouse, said: “As we wrap up another year, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude and acknowledge the immense pressure many of our members continue to work under. The sessional GP workforce is the oil that keeps primary care running smoothly during challenging times, demonstrating dedication that often goes above and beyond.

“This festive season, NASGP is pleased to once again make our Christmas donation to Doctors of the World. This organisation reflects the very spirit we champion: the flexibility and versatility of UK GPs.

“As a membership body and community, we are focused on ensuring you are supported and valued, and we are committed to helping build a stable, resilient system for 2026. Wishing you all a restful and peaceful Christmas and a hopeful New Year.”

"I just wanted to say how great LocumDeck is! I moved to the area and this made it so much easier to find work and I'm fully booked for months in advance. For the ICS to pay for it all for over a year is the icing on the cake."

Dr Bhavisha Patel, GP locum, Gloucestershire
