GPs can now open availability on LocumDeck after responding to an availability request (AVR).
As part of the latest platform update, and in response to GP locum members’ requests, developers on LocumDeck have created a new ‘enhanced’ availability response.
GP locums can now delete their availability responses, or open their calendars to other practices.
Furthermore, LocumDeck now does this automatically after three days.
Dr Richard Fieldhouse, NASGP chair, said: “Our LocumDeck user group of 25 GP locums regularly submits ideas and suggestions to help us continually improve LocumDec. We also develop LocumDeck based on all the feedback from Ali Lewis and Jacqui Gumbrell, our two dedicated NASGP Membership Managers, who answer queries from practices, and hold live demos for practice managers and frequent 1:1 meetings with locums.
“The platform is continually evolving, and has become a major force for good in rebalancing the ways that locums engage with practices, and this work will continue.
“I was speaking to a GP locum only yesterday who had moved to a new county principally because so many practices were using LocumDeck, which is a system she feels helps safeguard locums, helping us as professionals.”
