FAQ: What is a Tekihealth remote session?

Tekihealth lease NHS-approved fully remote-enabled laptops to GP locums.

So if a locum is offering a remote Tekihealth session through LocumDeck, this means they have a device with which they can perform a typical, triaged e-consult as per NASGP’s Remote Digital Locum Chambers, without the need for a practice to provide a means for a GP locum to connect remotely.

Now that LocumDeck has more options for remote working, we will soon be adding an easy way for a both practices and locums to clearly show which remote services that have available.

Meanwhile, we’re asking our locums equipped with a Tekihealth to create specific session descriptions that clearly show the session is a Tekihealth session eg

  • Morning | Remote | **Tekihealth** 15 x 10 min contacts plus associated paperwork

Tekihealth FAQ for locums

"I really like LocumDeck. Before, I was doing everything myself. It was a nightmare! Keeping a record of who has paid, chasing them – with LocumDeck, all that goes away. All you have to do is just book your sessions and work.

Doing remote sessions through LocumDeck has also been a very nice experience. The practices assign the patients very thoughtfully, considering the limitation of remote consultation, and I have developed a very good working relationships with them."
