NASGP adds new dates to GP locum webinar series

The NASGP has added new events for GP locums looking to join or start new NASGP Locum Chambers this winter.

Events for GPs in Cambridge, Peninsula (South-West England), Leicester and Mid-Wales offer the chance to ask questions about new chambers directly to Dr Richard Fieldhouse, NASGP chair and our Chambers Development manager Steve Shaw.

GPs around the country can also join Q&A events in November and December to find out more about chambers, and ask what’s happening in their areas.

New chambers are in development in several areas in England and Wales:

  • Barnet
  • Ealing
  • West Suffolk
  • Notts, Leics and Burton
  • Stoke-on-Trent
  • Manchester
  • Frimley
  • North-East and Mid Essex
  • Worcester
  • Peninsula
  • Mid Wales

An event in December is still open for registration.

NASGP’s innovative model of group working for NHS GPs is already established in several sites around the UK, and many GP locums have highlighted the rising importance of a GP locum NASGP Locum Chambers during the pandemic. NASGP already has several established Locum Chambers across the UK.

GP locums considering joining a chambers, who are currently working outside of areas with a local NASGP Locum Chambers, are advised to contact NASGP directly to express interest or request a new event online.

"NASGP membership is an excellent tool for increasing bookings with local practices. The calendar and availability function on the platform are extremely useful and easy to use. The support staff are excellent troubleshooting any queries. Overall the platform gives me a real sense of control over bookings and I feel this is an invaluable tool for clinicians wishing to provide availability to clinics in the area."
