Fully-funded NASGP membership in new Herts-Essex partnership

GP locums have been offered a range of services for the next two years, thanks to the support of Primary Care Careers, Mid & South Essex, Hertfordshire & West Essex Integrated Care Systems and North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group.

The four local organisations have partnered with NASGP to offer fully funded NASGP membership to all GP locums working in practices across Essex and Hertfordshire.

  • NASGP members who confirm a session within LocumDeck in a practice within Hertfordshire and Essex (at a practice with a handshake icon in LocumDeck) will have their monthly membership Direct Debit paused and won’t be charged any Instant Book fees in this area for the entirety of the two-year partnership period.
  • GPs who are not NASGP members can take advantage of the usual NASGP Free Trial, then confirm a session within LocumDeck within Hertfordshire and Essex (at a practice with a handshake icon in LocumDeck). Membership will be automatically upgraded to get fully funded NASGP membership and Instant Book fees in this area for the duration of the two-year partnership.

NASGP chair Dr Richard Fieldhouse said: “We’re delighted to be able to support GP locums to retain their independence as self-employed independent contractors, whilst at the same time helping them grow local and sustainable networks that both help them professionally and also have a positive impact on the practices where they work.”

Sign up for a fully-funded membership to NASGP, then book a session locally to be eligible for two years’ fully-funded membership.

"The NASGP and the GP locum chambers that I'm in have provided invaluable assistance both before and through Covid-19 to me as a full-time GP locum. All aspects of locum work have been made easier as a result of membership and the chamber's support structure - from accessing work, to ensuring invoicing and documentation is all sorted, and access to other locums as peer support. Having a chamber manager means I feel more secure and can devote more of my energy on my clinical work."
