Funded membership launches for GPs in Gloucestershire

UPDATE: The funding has now been extended to 2026. Sign up for funded NASGP membership in Gloucestershire today.

Sessional GPs working in Gloucestershire can now receive two years of fully-funded NASGP membership as part of a new regional partnership with NHS Gloucestershire CCG.

GPs who book a session at a Gloucestershire practice on LocumDeck qualify for fully-funded use of LocumDeck and Instant Book fees for the next 24 months.

When they confirm just one session at any participating practices on LocumDeck we will automatically give them NASGP Membership Plus until 31 March 2024.

As part of the same partnership, GPs can also enjoy fully-funded membership of NASGP’s Locum Chambers.

The partnership follows the successful development of similar partnerships in Hertfordshire, Essex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Frimley, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Dr. Andy Seymour, clinical chair of NHS Gloucestershire CCG, said: “As Clinical Chair of the CCG and a GP partner I am delighted that the CCG chose NASGP to provide our Primary Care Flexible Staff Pool. It was extremely important to us that we selected a provider able to deliver both a digital booking solution, LocumDeck, and a Locum Chambers for our county to provide the coaching, mentoring, peer support and training that GP Locums told us would make a difference and encourage them to work locally.”

Dr Richard Fieldhouse, NASGP chair, said: “Gloucestershire has a longstanding community of motivated GP locums, and so we are especially excited to have partnered with NHS Gloucestershire CCG to help support practices and locums in any way we can, and offer fully funded NASGP membership and LocumDeck to anyone who needs it.”

"I started working as a locum GP in January this year and NASGP have been invaluable in helping to co-ordinate my bookings and organise all the administrative aspects of sessional work which can be complex and time consuming. Their client support is outstanding and they have always resolved any queries promptly and personally. They care about the service they provide and I would not hesitate to recommend them to any sessional GPs who want to minimise time spent on administration and focus on providing patients with high quality care."
