FAQ: How do I add my UPR to my Locum Form B?

LocumDeck user? LocumDeck handles this all entirely automatically. You can leave this page and go and make yourself a nice cup of tea.

One of LocumDeck’s most popular features is that it does all this for you, stamping all associated Locum B forms with the same unique UPR.

Find out how to use pension forms on LocumDeck to apply the new employee contribution rates being introduced in England and Wales from 1 October 2022

On 1 October 2022 the NHS pension employee contribution rate tiers changed in England and Wales. The new tiers apply to work that is carried out from 1 October 2022. We have therefore made changes to LocumDeck to help you separate sessions worked before and after 1 October so you can pay the correct pension contributions.

What will change on LocumDeck from 1 October 2022?

LocumDeck will make sure that work done before and after 1 October 2022 gets added to the correct Locum Form A and B. This will allow you to calculate and pay the correct employee contribution rate.

UPR has become irrelevant on Form A and is being removed. It was clarified that UPR is no longer needed to link Form B to the included Form As because this connection is made when the PCSE administrator inputs the Form A data into the PCSE record system.

"I fell into a salaried role post-CCT, so faced with an unexpected relocation to a completely new area of the country the thought of GP locuming was incredibly daunting.

The assistance I have received from NASGP has been invaluable. I have received excellent and patient admin support when setting up my LocumDeck account. I have enjoyed the monthly chambers meetings I have attended: this made locuming feel far less isolating.

I have easily found plentiful work and am grateful for the invoicing and pension forms being taken care of – this gives me time to focus on the clinical work or make the most of precious days off.

With the support of NASGP Locum Chambers I have filled my diary working in a variety of practices in my new area, and have now joined one practice I enjoyed locuming at on a salaried basis while I continue to do some locum work on top using LocumDeck."
