What is finerenone?

It is a non-steroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist. According to the BNF it “inhibits receptor-mediated sodium reabsorption and decreases receptor overactivation, thereby reducing the inflammation and fibrosis that lead to kidney damage”.

Why is CKD such an issue for people with T2DM?

This is summarised from what Nice has put in their guideline.

"LocumDeck does everything you want it to do in an instant.

I absolutely love the facility for receiving locums' invoices and the facility for signing pension forms electronically. They are then instantly sent with an audit trail. It is fabulous!

You are notified the moment a GP locum adds availability, which is just fantastic. I spend a lot of time just chasing agencies to see if they have availability, so to be notified the moment availability is advertised is a new concept, and very welcome.

I have no hesitation in recommending LocumDeck – it has already eased my workload."
