NASGP has launched a new online community space for sessional GPs, bringing together events, discussion, and national policy news and analysis in one shared place.
Any UK-based sessional GP can join the community for free here: nasgp.circle.so
Sessional general practice offers real advantages: flexibility, variety, professional autonomy, and the chance to shape working lives more intentionally. But many sessional GPs also tell us that the learning, reflection, and connection that support good decision-making can be harder to access when you work independently. The new community is designed to support the positives of sessional work by making it easier to share insight, experience, and momentum with others.
Once inside, members can take part in webinars and peer-led Locum Labs, join discussions, and follow national policy news and analysis together, all in a space shaped around how sessional GPs actually work.
One of the biggest shifts is that the community is not designed for passive consumption. Members can comment, ask questions, and contribute their own perspectives, helping practical insight emerge from across the profession rather than flowing in one direction.
Rich Curno, NASGP director of membership, said: “Sessional GPs often value independence, but that doesn’t mean wanting to think everything through alone. This community is about keeping the freedom of sessional work while strengthening the sense of professional connection and shared understanding.”
