FAQ: Why your e-signature does not need to look like your pen signature
- The signature required is a ‘mouse’ or ‘stylus’ signature – it does not need to match your usual ‘wet’ or ‘pen’ signature.
- The key issue is that the mark you make can be linked to you as an authorised person to sign pension forms
- Since the only way to create a LocumDeck account, and therefore e-sign a locum Form A, is to sign up with an authentic verified NHS email address and a secure, personalised password, this is sufficient evidence to verify that your e-signature represents you.
- If for cosmetic reasons you’d prefer your e-signature to match your usual wet/pen signature, we recommend signing in via your smartphone or tablet and using your finger or a stylus.

"LocumDeck is so good and so intuitive that I am lost for words and utterly filled with glee.
It can send an email confirming the sessions that are booked and creates and emails invoices direct to the practice for you. These contain links to your beautifully laid out ‘credentials’ page with all your relevant documents, and a model contract that is all ready for you to accept or edit.
It automatically produces and sends the locum form A, and will produce locum form B. It also acts as the calendar... And it all happens automatically. It is really less than a minute to invoice and do the pension forms, with everything calculated perfectly."
