HIV testing in men who have sex with men and in black africans

The aim is to normalise HIV testing. The following to targets were new for me:

  • All new registrations in areas with incidence of HIV > 2/1000
  • All men registering in an area with a large community of men who have sex with men.
  • All people registering from a country with a high prevalence of HIV.
  • Men who have sex with men should be offered annual testing, if sexually active.

Point-of-contact testing. I was not aware that ‘point of contact’ testing is now available in some areas.
