Nice | Ciclosporin emulsion for dry eye disease

This is a new guideline from NICE advising that ciclosporin ophthalmic emulsion (Ikervis) can be used for treating dry eye disease that hasn’t responded to artificial tears. It has an anti-inflammatory effect on the cornea and lacrimal gland. The marketing authorisation is for treating severe keratitis in adult patients with dry eye disease.
