FSRH | St John’s Wort and contraceptives

The FSRH have released new advice about St John’s Wort use with contraceptives. It’s use has been linked to pregnancies with the COC, POP and with the implant. Women should be advised when being started on any of these methods that they should read the patient information leaflet and that they should seek advice from a healthcare professional before starting any new medication.
