NHS pension through a limited company?

You can not pay any contributions in to the NHS superannuation scheme that were paid to a limited company - so that means that if you're employed by a company (such as a locum agency or your own private company), you'll have to use an alternative pension scheme. Locum GPs who are members of a locum chambers are usually able to contribute to the NHS pension scheme since they remain self-employed, with any income being paid direct to them as a self-employed individual.
