From April 2014, those of you applying to join a Performers list for the first time will now need to pay for your Occupational Health check. The application form states: "Medical...performers applying for inclusion in the relevant national performers lists are required to provide an occupational health screening ‘fit to practise’ declaration supplied by a Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Service (SEQOHS), accredited occupational health provider, to cover the services they shall provide or could be reasonably expected to provide as a performer. If you're going straight from a training post to a salaried post or employment by a locum agency, your practice or agency can pay for this. Otherwise, if you're starting work as a freelance GP, you will have to fund this yourself.
We’re the independent not-for-profit support organisation run by and for any GP in the UK working as a locum or salaried GP. Please support our work by joining us as a full member, from only £11 per month, and includes full use of LocumDeck.
