Practices get easier access to remote GPs on LocumDeck

The latest update to LocumDeck has made it even easier for GP practices to book remote GP locums.

As part of a release on Wednesday 21 June, Emis practices can now see a banner on LocumDeck to enable remote access at their practices. Practices can read more when they log in to NASGP’s platform, LocumDeck, then just tick two boxes to enable themselves to book remote GP locums.

GPs can offer remote sessions on LocumDeck by onboarding an Emis GP practice, then emailing info@nasgp.org.uk to let us know which practice they’ve onboarded. For GPs who can’t onboard an Emis practice, there’s also a waitlist to join our NASGP Remote Digital Locum Chambers.

Dr Richard Fieldhouse, NASGP chair, said: “Hundreds of GP locums have already worked thousands of remote sessions through LocumDeck, all using their own laptops, and full access to the practices’ IT systems. And the feedback from practices and GP locums has been overwhelmingly positive. So we’re absolutely delighted to be able to extend this service to thousands of Emis practices, providing even more opportunities to any GP interested in supporting practices from the comfort of their own home.

“It’s a little more complicated to extend this service, but in areas like Hampshire and Isle of Wight, we’ve been working with their ICBs to bring this service to their SystmOne practices too.”

Book remote GP sessions today.

"I want to say a big thank you for supporting me at the very beginning of my locum career. I am now having regular bookings from practices through your website."

Dr Bo Su, GP
