NASGP’s LocumDeck has become a registered digital supplier to the NHS.
NASGP is one of several newly-announced digital suppliers. Its inclusion on the list shows that it has been successfully assessed by NHS England based on national criteria.
The announcement follows NASGP’s partnership with ICSes across the UK including:
- Hertfordshire
- Essex
- Hampshire and the Isle of Wight
- Gloucestershire
- Buckinghamshire
- Oxfordshire
- Buckinghamshire
- Frimley
Six integrated care boards (ICBS) have committed to fully-fund NASGP membership costs to all sessional GPs working within their footprint.
Dr Richard Fieldhouse, chair of NASGP, said: “Working so closely with so many different NHS workforce leaders over the last few years to roll out LocumDeck across their regions has been a thrilling experience.
“Simply put, our platform has removed so many hurdles and barriers that have traditionally made it inefficient and sometimes even ineffective for practices to engage directly with locums.
“Witnessing firsthand the practical outcomes of LocumDeck’s seamless, end-to-end technology demonstrates what a significant difference it can make to a region’s GP workforce, seeing practices book and confirm dozens of locum sessions at the click of a mouse.
“But most importantly, LocumDeck is about the livelihoods of medical professionals. Alongside this clever software, we’ve also created vibrant local communities of GP locums, sharing peer support and supporting them to better engage with local systems.
“Our existing partnerships with CCGs and ICSs have already enabled us to double the size of our IT team, meaning that we are now rapidly rolling out new features every two weeks. Now that we are a registered digital supplier to the NHS, we hope to bring LocumDeck to every practice in the UK.”
