GPs working in practices in England should show compliance with the NHS’s new vaccine mandate, NASGP has advised members.
For over a year GPs have been adding their Covid passes (or proof of vaccination or exemption) to their LocumDeck profiles. Covid pass are recommended so that practice staff can verify the certificates by scanning the QR codes.
As the 1 April deadline for Vaccination as a Condition Of Deployment (VCOD) approaches, many GPs will be making sure that they have proof of compliance readily available for practice managers.
Dr Richard Fieldhouse, chair of NASGP, said: “We have made the process of uploading documents to your LocumDeck profile very quick and easy, and very simple for practices to access.
“Even though this requirement doesn’t take effect until the first of April, uploading your pass or exemption now will go a long way to helping practice managers prepare for when VCOD goes into effect.”
