A revaccination campaign is ‘likely to run later this year in autumn or winter’, Pulse reported last week.
The Government’s ‘roadmap’ report says: ‘To ensure the country is prepared for these scenarios and while further evidence is gathered, the Government is planning for a revaccination campaign, which is likely to run later this year in autumn or winter.
‘Any revaccination is likely to consist of a single “booster” dose of a Covid-19 vaccine: the ideal booster may be a new vaccine specifically designed against a variant form of the virus.’
Also last week, NHS Digital’s GP consultation data from January revealed that GPs and practice teams were now delivering around 75% of vaccine doses in England. The RCGP highlighted that it was still unclear as to the extent that the data reflects the work involved in the programme.
