The Welsh Government has said it is ‘very concerned’ about GPs not being paid by eHarley Street, Pulse reports.
The company, which is based in England and runs nine practices in Wales, and 13 in England according to its website, was the subject of criticism by Senedd members after being accused of non-payment.
First Minister Eluned Morgan said the issue was ‘something we should be deeply concerned about’.
GPs reported last month that the six leading the campaign were owed £32,000 in unpaid invoices.
Dr Richard Fieldhouse, NASGP chair, said: “It is a particularly tough time at the moment for GP locums sourcing reliable work, so it is completely disheartening to hear of colleagues struggling to get paid.
“Indeed, we are currently supporting one of our NASGP Locum Chambers members in chasing late payments from an eHarley Street practice in England.
“In any situation like this, our advice is to notify your local LMC immediately who will also be happy to intervene on your behalf. Make sure that all bookings, no matter where you work, are complimented by a robust set of terms and conditions as well as an electronic audit trail, as provided by dedicated GP locum platforms like LocumDeck.”
