GP locum bookings on LocumDeck have doubled in a year, NASGP reports.
Monthly bookings have climbed this year, and hit a record high in May 2022.
NASGP is also at its highest ever membership and subscription totals, with membership up 79% over the last 12 months.
NASGP has now partnered with NHS organisations in Gloucestershire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Frimley area, and Hertfordshire and Essex. Through partnership working LocumDeck has been widely adopted across practices in partner areas: for example Gloucestershire GP practices have all signed up to book GP locums through NASGP’s LocumDeck platform.
Dr Richard Fieldhouse, NASGP chair, said: “This huge achievement is completely down to our wonderful members; GP locums, NHS practices and ICSs, all of whom value the importance of GP locums being able to determine exactly the professional setting that they know works best for them and their patients.
“LocumDeck simply allows all those within primary care to do this in an easy, secure collegiate fashion.
“With the NHS facing its worst winter ever, we are genuinely hopeful that LocumDeck will be able to help more and more locums be able to support practices and give patients the care they need.
