‘Autumn deadline’ for UK’s Covid-19 vaccinations, health secretary promises

The health secretary has promised that all adults in the UK will be offered the Covid vaccine by the autumn, Pulse reports.

Speaking on the BBC’s Andrew Marr show on Sunday 10 Jan, Matt Hancock said: “Every adult will be offered a vaccine by the autumn, absolutely.

“We’ve got over 350 million doses on order. They’re not all here yet and we’re rolling them out as fast as they get delivered. But we are going to have enough to be able to offer a vaccine to everyone over the age of 18 and by the autumn.”

He also told the presenter that the lockdown restrictions would end on 31 March.

"I don’t normally do this, but just to say that I thought your article at the front of the latest NASGP magazine about clinical errors was really excellent. Great, and very thoughtful writing. NASGP member."
