GPs can learn about ‘solution-focused’ working in general practice at a free NASGP event next month.
Former consultant child and adult psychiatrist Dr Jonathan Prosser will present on using solution-focused approaches in general practice on Thursday 3 November, 1-1.45pm.
Dr Prosser was a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist for 23 years in the Portsmouth area, before taking up a new clinical leadership role in digital transformation in the NHS. He has spoken and taught extensively on Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, with its wide applications in almost any arena of human interaction when somebody wants something from someone else.
The event is the latest in a series of NASGP’s lunchtime webinars for GP locums, held on the first Thursday of every month.
In September Dr Helen Garr, clinical lead at NHS Practitioner Health, presented on signs and symptoms of burnout in GPs, and how GP locums can prevent burnout at work.
Watch the videos of our past speakers included Dr Tony Downs on skin cancer and Dr Tina Peers on menopause.
