New GP clinical education event launches on skin cancer

GPs can hear the latest updates about skin cancer presentations and management in general practice as part of a clinical education event by NASGP.

Following two successful lunchtime education webinars, NASGP is running a third event for GPs on Thursday 9 June 2022 at 1pm.

Dr Tony Downs will talk about skin cancer with a specific 2022 update on actinic keratosis.

On Thursday 5 May 38 GPs attended a talk by The Menopause Consultancy founder and menopause specialist GP Dr Tina Peers. Dr Peers spoke on the subject of management of the menopause: symptoms, definitions, effects on women’s health, treatments and (if time) primary ovarian insufficiency (POI) in GP.

Watch the video back and see Dr Peers’s slides on nasgp.org.uk.

Dr Richard Fieldhouse, NASGP chair, said: “Tina’s presentation certainly opened my mind to new treatment options for menopausal women, and has definitely made me rethink which patients I can prescribe HRT to.

I highly recommend watching the event on YouTube or listening to the podcast if you couldn’t make it to the original.”

Join our event on Thursday 9 June

An invitation and reminder will be sent on the day.

"The info on the website really helped when I started sessional work in April. I'll recommend you to all my appraisees starting locum/sessional GP life as I think you're an invaluable resource for sessional GPs. "

Dr Helen Rutherford, GP
