Sexual health guidelines and clinical updates for GP locums
NASGP has now been running free lunchtime clinical talks for sessional GPs for over a year, many of which now available as videos.
This is an updated guideline from FSRH on POPs published in Aug 2022.

The FSRH provided a good summary of guidance for those advising women about what to do after a missed pill
Kyleena is an IUS. It contains levonorgestrel, like Mirena does.
This is a new product review from the FSRH. Levosert is an LNG-IUS, which is the same as Mirena.
A really useful aspect of this guideline is that there are numerous tables which summarise starting and switching routines, efficacy of various contraceptive methods etc.
This was an updated guideline from the FSRH on contraception in the over 40s.
ellaOne has an impact on progesterone receptors and there is concern that it may reduce the effectiveness of progestogenic contraceptives.
